All About Me...
My name is Renee Crowder, and I live in Shelbyville. I enjoy reading and embroidery, and spending time with family and friends, especially my grandchildren. There are always plenty of activities they participate in for me to choose from if I need something to do or somewhere to go. I graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. This is my 33rd year to work for the Bedford County Board of Education. This is my 9th year in kindergarten, and I still love it!
I previously taught third grade, first grade, and was a teacher assistant for many years prior to that. East Side is a great school with caring teachers and I know that you and your child will enjoy the time you spend here. We take every precaution to ensure a safe educational environment for our students.
Should you have questions throughout the year, I will be glad to talk with you about your child’s progress and behavior. I will try to promptly respond to notes sent to school with your child, or you may leave a message in the office and I will get back to you. I will not be able to leave the classroom to answer telephone calls during the day, but I will return calls as soon as possible. The school phone number is (931) 684-7112.
I also use class Dojo in my room and send message through that, quite often. You should have received an invitation to join, but if you did not, please send your phone number or your email access and I will get you connected. Good communication between the teacher and parent is key to a successful year. Your child’s success is very important to me and I appreciate your involvement in their education. Being involved lets your children know that you value education. I am glad to have your child in my class and I am looking forward to a fabulous year. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
Thank you very much for trusting me with your child’s education.
