All About Me
My name is Jeanna Brandon. This is my third year as an interventionist at East Side Elementary School. I have 30 years of teaching experience. I started my teaching career in Texas as a 4th and 5th grade reading teacher. I taught 26 years at Southside Elementary School before transferring to East Side
(24 years as a kindergarten teacher and 2 years as a third grade teacher). I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and a minor in early childhood education. I live on a farm in Fairfield, Tennessee with my husband, David. We have been married for almost 29 years! We are blessed with two awesome and intelligent sons, Andrew and Garrison. Our oldest son, Andrew lives in Knoxville with his beautiful family. Andrew and his better half, Hannah have blessed us with two amazing and beautiful granddaughters....Evelyn and Julianna(better known as Jules). Both Andrew and Garrison are our computer nerds. Andrew works for a company contracted with our government to solve all things information technology. Garrison is a senior at Austin Peay State University majoring in computer information systems with a minor in computer networking. I love spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and going to the movies. In my free time, I love reading and going to visit my granddaughters and taking them on fun "adventures."
I love East Side and helping students become better readers!
Fun fact: Mrs. Talbott was my son, Garrison's first grade teacher and later my assistant principal at Southside before accepting the position as principal at East Side.
