Recently, school counselors and school social workers from across Bedford County Schools came together for a collaborative meeting focused on professional learning and student support.📚
As part of the meeting, staff completed Child Abuse Coordinator Training, strengthening their knowledge and preparedness to help protect and support #students when it matters most.
BCS Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health Supervisor Lindsay Wiley led the training, providing an opportunity for counselors and social workers to learn, collaborate and strengthen the support they provide to students.🌟

Fifth graders in Mrs. Summer Monroe’s class at East Side Elementary School recently put their decimal skills to work during a hands-on math task! Working in teams, #students tackled a variety of problems involving adding and subtracting decimals before visiting other groups to review their work and provide feedback. 🧮🤝
From solving problems to sharing ideas, these mathematicians showed that learning can be a team effort! 👏
