👟✨ BCS Is Stepping Up! ✨👟

We’re partnering with #Soles4Souls to host a district-wide shoe drive and TODAY is your last chance to donate!

From January 20 – February 28, we’ll be collecting NEW and GENTLY USED shoes to support people around the world. These shoes will support the Soles4Souls’ 4OPPORTUNITY program, which helps people in countries like Haiti, Honduras and parts of Africa create small businesses selling shoes and clothing to earn a living.

We are excited to partner with Soles4Souls, who has generously donated new, brand-name athletic shoes through their 4EVERYKID program, helping #BedfordCountySchools McKinney-Vento students.

📍Shoe collection bins are in each of our schools and at the Central Office.

Let’s give back—one step at a time! 💙

Thank you for helping us support #students, families and communities around the world.

💡 The Power of Saving Energy Starts at Home

When you conserve energy at home, the impact goes far beyond lowering your monthly bill.

✔️ You save money
✔️ Less raw material is needed to generate electricity
✔️ There’s less need to build new power plants
✔️ Reduced demand for new transmission lines
✔️ Lower strain on our electricity infrastructure

Small changes—like switching to LED bulbs, unplugging unused devices, and adjusting your thermostat—create a ripple effect that benefits your wallet and our environment.

Every kilowatt counts. 🌎⚡

🧪🔬 Science in Action in Ms. Wilder’s Class! 🐦✨

Students in Ms. Wilder’s 5th grade science class have been busy scientists as they explored adaptations through a hands-on experiment! Using different tools to represent various bird beaks, students tested how each “beak” worked to pick up different types of food.

This fun and interactive activity helped students understand how animals adapt to survive in their environments. Learning by doing made science come alive! 🐤🧠

Way to go, Ms. Wilder’s class — future scientists in the making! 👏🔍
